The rise of the Winterking

"When the SummerQueen goes to sleep, the WinterKing rises"

This work represents the transition between the warm and the cold seasons and is the second in the short series "Transitions"
The stockphoto is quite a eyecatcher and quite unique but also challenges to built a story around it. A lot of stocks and some additional painting
was needed to make the atmosphere and add details like the ice, frost and the hair of the queen. Well i always seems to get lost in details which most will miss looking at only briefly.
I also entered a  Dutch photoshop-contest with this work, so that's why i didn't put my name or title on the work.
