Final Update Photomanipulation-Tournament

Hello my friends, watchers and passing by visitors

First of all i want to thank everybody who has signed up to participate in "THE TOURNAMENT"
I was able to make 5 parties and promoted some to archers to compete with me in as special league.
Had to do this because of the number of people who wants to partcipate and otherwise i could not make 
balanced parties or had to leave some out.
If i have left someone out, excuse for this, think it wasn't clear you wanted to participate!!

All parties will get a color: Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Magenta

Knights and wizards pay attention!! If i put your icon first behind the gamecard you will be knight 1 of wizard 1 the other will be knight 2 or wizard 2 


ROUND 1
 
Knight 1 will compete  in the arena against eachother : Theme: Create a Dream within a dream
Knight 2 will compete  in the arena against eachother : Theme: Darkness against light


Wizard1 will compete in the arena against eachother   : Theme: Create a  epic landscape/scenery, lord of the rings-style
Wizard2 will compete in the arena against eachother   : Theme: Create a  colorfull landscape/scenery, Alice in wonderlandstyle

Novice   will compete in the arena against eachother   : Theme: Dungeons and dragons

For a theme for the specialleague i will need a suggestion from for this round, hope you will note me!!
(round 2 can pick the theme and last round i will pick one)


SOME THINGS TO CONSIDER!

Try to approach your given theme open and creative. You are free to browse DA for examples of art already made with the theme,
but avoid to copycat it. I know it's hard and not being a hypocryt are also influenced by things submitted, so won't judge it to hard.

Novices will be jugded on developing their skills, so i will look at things like blending, composition, colorcorrection etc but only mildly.

Wizards will ofcourse be judged on their photoshopskills and usage of the program, but also how close they adapt the theme.
If they make a scenery where most is about the character in it or wrong format, that will cost them points.

The knights will be judged hardest, because i must assume you now all (well a lot) about lighting, shadows compostion and blending.
Specially i will look at how creative they are and how much the are able to leave their comfortzone.

Things you should avoid!!

I knowe some artist on DA are using the oilpaintfilter to give it a special look, but to be honest really hate it when it's overdone.
That also counts for other artistic-filters!! 
If you want to paint shadows or make them otherwise, be carefull with the dropshadow-FX in photoshop. It often does not match good.
Also pay some attention to the size of things you put in. (Large birds in the background!)
Sometimes it is better to crop your work  to get more focus on the mainsubject(s) and do not put flying doves, jackdaws, ravens in some
forgotten corner, no get rid of the empty space!!
